Description
Learning characters can already be a challenge, wouldn’t it be simpler to learn those two-character combinations?
Our new Bigrams poster can help you learn 322 of the most commonly written Bigrams, and also help Chinese learners to recognize patterns between characters and meaning.
Here’s how it works: As anyone who has studied Chinese knows, any given single Chinese character nearly always has multiple meanings, often with completely unrelated definitions. Take the word “经” (jing1). It’s definition includes sacred book, to pass through, to undergo etc.
Instead of “经” (jing1), you will be able to learn the more commonly found bigram “已经” (yi3jing1) which has one meaning only: already. Learning these bigrams first can be a great tool in understanding the general meaning of the individual character.
